Prince Albert Catholic School Division invites applications for an Education Consultant for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
The Education Consultant, in co-operation with other system personnel, shall support the aims and goals of Catholic Education and the Prince Albert Roman Catholic Separate School Division #6.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education.
- Familiarity with a variety of resources and able to support teachers in developing culturally responsive methodologies to meet the needs of Indigenous students.
- Possess knowledge and respect of Indigenous culture, traditions and understand the diversity of Indigenous cultures.
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers to integrate First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) content, perspectives and ways of knowing in all curricula.
- Work closely with teachers to support curriculum implementation, such as developing course outlines, long range plans, and units of study, that are consistent with the Inspiring Success Framework and reflective of faith permeation.
- Support teachers with instructional, assessment and evaluation development strategies.
- Assist with the implementation of student achievement strategies to align with the division Reading, Writing and Math priorities.
- Support the aims and goals of the Invitational Shared Services Initiative with the First Nation Authority
- Facilitate workshops for curriculum actualization and support teachers in curriculum implementation for grades K-12.
- Assist members of the Admin. Council in planning the system level curriculum in-service days; find facilitators, arrange facilities, etc.
